Clowne Rock & Blues Club - Gig Guide:

The Clowne Blues Club is now Clowne Rock & Blues to more reflect the blues based classic rock bands on offer & also because we aren't a club as such, as you don't have to be a member.

Live music at the Clowne Community Centre near Chesterfield, Derbyshire every Sunday night from 8.30pm 'till 11:00pm. Doors open from 7:45pm.

1st January	New Years Day - Centre Closed
8th January	Vamp(£3 on the door)
	Vamp play a variety of Classic rock music from the likes of Free, Led Zeppelin, The Faces & more. They are a classic rock band & though based in South Yorkshire they play all over the north of England. The lineup has been re-Vamped a few times over the years. Steve and Ian (guitarist) are the only remaining members from the original lineup. After a few bass players, Jayne joined the band in 2009 & after parting ways with their former drummer, Ian (Jock) joined the band also in 2009.
15th January	Derrin Nauendorf(£4 on the door)
	Singer songwriter Derrin Nauendorf has been living in the UK for eights years & has built up a solid & loyal following after countless tours & some amazing critical reviews & performances for the likes of Bob Harris & Paul Jones. Since arriving on European shores, Derrin has played anywhere & everywhere throughout the UK, Germany, France, Spain, & Holland as well as returning to his native homeland for the occasional tour. Derrin has opened for Van Morrison & countless others & has always been a major hit.
22nd January	Electric Experience(£4 on the door)
	A welcome return for this very popular band at Clowne. Electric Experience are one the finest power blues trios on the British blues scene today with their progressive rock driven blues with it's 60's influences. The band works extensively throughout the U.K. & Europe. They have fast become established as one of the most dynamic & exciting three piece outfits around. Pete Orr writes all the original material & has enjoyed considerable success with a top ten hit in North America, as well as radio & TV exposure in the U.K. & Europe. Session work with Mike Stock & Jack Bruce add to Pete's extensive live performance experience. "A thundering raw talent" says Pat Marsh of BBC Radio, "Excellent lead guitarist", says Time Out.
29th January	Mahogany Newt(£3 on the door)
	Mahogany Newt is a power rock trio performing high energy classic rock covers from some of the greatest bands in the world. The band formed in early '90s & has since become well established in South Yorkshire & North Derbyshire as one of the top rock cover bands in the region. The set includes a wide variety of songs including tracks by Led Zeppelin, Whitesnake, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Journey, Toto & many more. The live performance is enhanced by the subtle use of backing tracks providing keyboard lines to faithfully recreate some of the best songs ever written. (These are not 'off the shelf' backing tracks but purpose made tracks recorded by Andy for the band)
