8th January Blueflies£4 on the door
Hailing from York in the UK the Blueflies are a power-trio of epic proportions featuring Miles Gilderdale on guitar & vocals, Gavin Ewing on bass & Paul Stipetic on drums. Playing music inspired by rhythm & blues, classic rock & funk they have been pounding the circuit for nearly 25 years. In this time they have also toured Germany, Austria & Switzerland & released 3 studio albums of their original material as well as a live album recorded at the Franz club in Berlin.
15th January Carnival£4 on the door
More than 20 years ago there was a band called Carnival of Thieves, people left & were replaced by Joolz, Johnny F.D. & Harris. Now, there is a band called The Carnival, a more friendly, funny set of musical bastards you will never hope to find. 5 Albums, 1 E.P. & many, many jaunts around the world later they're still here doing what they do best, playing loud rock/blues & having fun, it HAS to be fun (they leave boredom to the serious, face pulling, shoe gazing bands/musicians).
22nd January 3 Legged Cat£4 on the door
3 Legged Cat are a classic rock covers band based around Mansfield and Chesterfield who have gathered a loyal following from their gigs all over the midlands. Artists they cover are: Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy, Free, Wishbone Ash, Bad Company, UFO, Pink Floyd, Whitesnake, Neil Young, Cream, plus occasionally a few originals.
29th January The Blues Revue£4 on the door
What do you get if you mix around one eighth of the Bakerlight Blues Band, three-fifths of Mag 7 & half of Maison Rouge? Why, 'The Blues Revue' of course! Founded in July 2015 they want to share their brand of blues, rock, funk & soul with you. Their style is classy blues-related music spanning American & British influences played by experienced musicians with a genuine love of the genre. They say 'If we can't get you out of your seats, then no-one will'
