April 2017:Band:
2nd April Lewis Hamilton£5 on the door
As a guitarist Lewis pays tribute to some of the greatest musicians of the 20th century, taking influence from people like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix & Rory Gallagher. He also incorporates playing styles from more modern blues-rock musicians such as, Joe Bonamassa, Derek Trucks & Matt Schofield. As a vocalist he has developed his own unique & powerful style of singing, while taking influence from the likes of Joe Cocker & Dave Mathews. Lewis also has a talent for recording & runs his own studio where all his music is written, recorded, produced, mixed & mastered by Lewis himself.
9th April AVIT Blues Band£4 on the door
The AVIT Blues Band are becoming firm favourites here at Clowne, so it's good to have them back yet again. They're from the Doncaster area & say their music is from where Blues meets Rock. It's all about live music, playing blues from the soul and having a good time! This year sees them performing at more festivals as their popularity grows.
16th April The Lost Days£4 on the door
Egypt have had to cancel due to illness, so we now have... The Lost Days are an original hard rock outfit from Worksop UK. Their setlist includes material from the likes of Metallica, Motley Crue, Guns 'N' Roses, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Foo Fighters & AC/DC. A big hitting powerhouse of hard rock havoc, displaying & demonstrating rock & roll is very much alive & kicking. With their explosive live show & extremely strong original songs, the Lost Days are quickly becoming one of the best new hard rock bands in the business.
23rd April Gav Coulson Group£4 on the door
The Gav Coulson Group was formed in 2010 with the aim of bringing a new class of contemporary blues-rock material to audiences throughout the country. The Gav Coulson Group draws a lot of its influences from modern day bluesmen such as Joe Bonamassa, Gary Moore & Walter Trout but still holds true to some of the earlier contemporary blues heroes such as Hendrix & the Allman Brothers. You might also get an original version of a blues-rock classic included in a live set!
30th April The Syndicate£4 on the door
Yet another cancellation I'm afraid. Rhythm Zoo have cancelled & we now have The Syndicate standing in. They are a Sheffield based covers band who play mostly rock but with lots of melodic stuff thrown in as well.
